I mean, NONE of us likes the idea of getting older and losing a handle on the thing that has always made us special, but with luck we've been cultivating other strengths and some personal character to usher us gracefully into adulthood. Not so with Brett. He now realizes that nobody's going to be looking at him anymore and he isn't taking it well. Brett needs attention, and I shudder to think where he goes from here. Nice take.
